Our home is a charming old farmhouse in rural Berlin Center, Ohio, which dates back to 1899. The farm, with fifty two acres, was purchased by Dan and Marianne Mastropietro in 2003. They later built Mastropietro Winery and sold the farmhouse which is now Bella Fattoria Cottage. We are conveniently located just 1 hour from Pittsburgh, PA, Cleveland, OH, and the Cuyahoga Valley National Park.
The views of the vineyards and the winery from the house and backyard deck are breathtaking, making it a perfect place for a romantic getaway. Come celebrate an anniversary, birthday, special occasion, or enjoy that much needed time alone. You can relax and enjoy the live music and outdoor festivities that are scheduled at the winery throughout the warmer months. In the winter months, unwind inside by the fireplace and enjoy the local artwork on display, or walk the winery grounds and visit the indoor Tuscan style tasting room when available. For a more peaceful experience, stay with us during the week when the winery is closed and you can enjoy the beautiful sunsets, clear starlit skies, and complete peace and tranquility of the country setting.
In addition to Mastropietro Winery, there are several other wineries within thirty miles of Bella Fattoria, as well as numerous other attractions in Mahoning County. We are located between two large public lakes, Berlin Lake and Lake Milton, where you can enjoy fishing, boating, hiking and skiing. Noah’s Lost Ark Animal Sanctuary is also close by. Mill Creek Metro Parks provides hiking at the 262 acre Vickers Nature Preserve and equestrian facility, hiking is also available at Nelsons Ledges State Park. An 11 mile bike and hike trail is just a short fifteen minute drive away. Mall and strip mall shopping and dining is 15 miles down the road in Boardman.
